Elements of Grammar
An introductory grammar course, personally-paced and cheap!

Welcome to Elements of Grammar, the official grammar class of "The Scribes" ! Ours is the best course for anyone who wants a quick, simple lesson in grammatical basics.

Curriculum:

I:Apostrophes

II: Capitalization

III: Homophones and Commonly Misused Words

IV: Prepositions

V: Pronouns and Articles

VI: Commas

VII: Parallelism

VIII: Appositives

IX: Misplaced Modifiers

X: Dialogue



Creeds:

Our learning schedule is personally paced.

We offer competitive tuition fees.

We do not concentrate on style.

We offer no prizes for course completion--your tuition costs will not pay for someone's Merit Badge.



Lessons:

Each lesson has three parts: the teaching, the worksheet, and the quiz. The teaching will be constructed differently with each instructor. The worksheets will be completed in surveys, and the quizzes will be administered by someone other than the instructor.



Instructors:

Our Instructors are members of the group "The Scribes" . The lessons they write are checked by their peers and edited for efficiency. Instructors will earn a salary every month, a cut of the 3,000-Gift Point tuition, in addition to a commission, a cut of the 600-Gift Point tutoring session. As yet, only Scribes may instruct lessons for Elements of Grammar.





Costs:

The full, ten-lesson course costs 3,000 Gift Points. Individual lessons, each of which consists of three parts (see above), cost 600 Gift Points. The tuition fees will cover costs for our contest, "Tales of Terror: The Scream Awards" , and reimburse our instructors.





Scholarships:

For those interested, there are scholarships available upon application.
