The name alone inspires questions. What is a Christian? What is a Blog? What is a Blog Ring? That's just the way we want it. Sometimes, people have the mistaken impression that being a "Christian", or a "Christ-follower" means that life is easier, or that you are somehow "more special", more entitled in this life than others. Sometimes, it is those very people who send out this message in their living, or their interactions with others. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Life is usually much more difficult for a Christ-follower. The rules of living are more strict. The rewards are much greater, that's true; but only after the journey is completed! The truth of the matter is that we are told, by Jesus Christ Himself, that life as a follower is filled with tribulation, difficulty, sadness, loneliness, hurt, pain, and sometimes even agony! But, while He tells us the journey won't be easy, or even easier, Jesus promises the journey will be worth it! (John: 16:33(b)) A Blog is, among other things, a journal, a diary of life. WDC has many talented writers who are also Christ-followers, and "bloggers". We write regularly about the journey of faith, in the context of real life. These journals, or "blogs" detail the difficulties of the journey, especially when that journey includes the things of life that really matter. Reading their words would "counteract the counterfeit", those false beliefs held by many about how easy the life of a Christ-follower actually is. Filled with the details of controversy, sadness, grief, pain, struggle, tribulation...all those things Christ promised would be included on our faith journey, these blogs also detail the victories experienced from those terrible moments that life gives us--and that is a little difference, especially to those who are not followers of Christ in life. It may not be much, but sometimes that little difference can make all the difference in a life. The Christian's Blog Ring is simply a community of those members of WDC who write similar blogs. The Blog Ring is ever-expanding, as more Christ-followers write of their faith journey. We provide community, support, encouragement, hope, prayer, and fellowship to one another by writing, reading, commenting, reviewing, sharing, learning, and growing--together. We invite you to join us. If you haven't ever thought about writing a journal or diary about your life journey with faith as your companion, we urge you to begin. If you are now writing such a Blog, and feel that your writing is honest, with your faith as your guide, and Christ as your companion, we encourage you to join us. We know the journey. We know it is fraught with the obstacles, challenges, and difficulties of being a "belly button" kid. We want to share the journey with you--and we will. I invite you to join the Christian's Blog Ring today. Don't wait. Help, hope, and humor awaits you. Tears, grief, sadness are here, too. But a joy shared is doubled, and a sadness shared is cut in half. Join us. Let's share the journey today, together. For the entire group, Budroe is Blessed! Ring Leader If you would like to have your Blog added to the blog ring, post a message below. Include the bitem link for your blog in your post. We will let you know when your blog has been added to the ring. We will post it as an addition to the list of blogs in the ring. We also have a very easy "Item Alias" for our members to use in their reviews, correspondence, and other writings for the Ring: {item:tcbr} is available to all members. It will yield:"The Christian's Blog Ring" Activity is highly encouraged. Inactivity of members either by failing to write regular entries, or lack of participation or communication with other ring members is grounds to be removed from the ring. We're not mad at you. It's just that activity is what keeps the ring growing. Let us know when you submit your request if there are, or have been issues that have kept you from your blog, and when/how you believe that has changed. We prayerfully consider each new member, but we usually make our determinations within 24 hours. Each member of the ring is permitted to state their opinions on the addition of your blog to the ring. That sometimes takes a little time. But, don't worry, we are an exclusive group--but we do love new members! Post your blog, and join us. We just can't wait! Welcome to the Christian's Blog Ring!
