Freedom Rings

Humpty Dumpty sat on his swing
back and forth, he started to sing:
“no need for horses from my king,
this is freedom to which I cling."

Humpty Dumpty has fun at play
on this beautiful sunny day;
now, at last he can finally say:
“I get to live my life, my way.”

Tell me your favorite Nursery Rhyme... there's only one hitch:
You have to create a new poem, all except the first line which can be part of the first line or the full first line of the original nursery rhyme. Please note all poems must rhyme.

THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO ALL WDC MEMBERS


Contest Rules
The contest will begin on Wednesday and ends on a Tuesday at 8 pm EST. This contest will be held every other month (January, March, May, July, Sept. Nov.). The contest begins: Wednesday, January 18th and end Tuesday January 24th.

Please post the link to the original nursery rhyme with the new rhyme that you create.

Only one entry per contestant. Please keep posts and submissions 13+ or below.
Remember this is a children's nursery rhyme contest.

No more than 16 lines in your poem.
