![]() ¢ի℮Բ This contest is now OPEN for contestants and donations! There will be a maximum of 32 contestants, so sign up quickly if you wish to participate! WdC Survivor will be a charity competition. There will be a maxiumum of 32 participants, with each participant choosing a WdC charity/group to split the winnings with. (More than one participant can choose the same charity/group, but no participant can choose more than one charity/group.) This will be run a little like the television survivor, but as a we have a different medium and more people participating, there will have to be a bit of a twist put upon it. However, let me get to the rules, so you can know what this competition is about! Game Rules 1. Each round will consist of two portions. The first part of the round will be the "Challenge" portion, and the second part of the round will be the "Voting" portion. Each one of these will be defined below. 2. The first portion of each round will be the "Challenge" portion. The "Challenge" portion of each round will include a writing challenge. The challenges will come from "Challenge Yourself" The selected challenge for the week will be posted on Friday, and due by the end of Tuesday, WdC time. 3. The second portion of each round will be the "Voting" portion. The "voting" portion of each round will require the voters to read the entries. The entries will be ANONYMOUS - the contestants should not, under any circumstances, state which one is theirs. They should, however, encourage as many people as possible to come and vote for who they believe should go. When there are multiple entries, we will make the submissions short so the voters do not have to spend multiple hours reading in order to participate. The vote will begin on Friday, and finish by the end of Tuesday, WdC time. (If you wonder about the lag time between the days of the week, those will give me the chance to read every entry carefully, and decide on an Immunity Idol winner, and prepare/create the voting pages.) Each round will have a certain number of members voted off, except the first practice round. If we begin with the maximum of 32 competitors, the contestants will be reduced by one half each round - so sixteen would be voted off the first. Each round would continue to cut the contestants in half until there are only two left to compete in the final challenge round. If a competitor does not participate in the challenge for that round, they will automatically be voted off. Yes, this does mean that it will be a long competition - and the time commitment should considered when entering. Do you think you're up for the challenge? These numbers will be adjusted depending on the total number of participants. While there can be no more than 32, I do realize that because of the time required, it may actually end up being less. I do have high hopes, however! 4. Successfully making it through each round will earn both the participant and their charity some GPs. For the Practice Round, the only thing a contestant needs to do to earn 1,000 GPs is to correctly follow the prompt and challenge. If the prize funds do not cover the 64,000 possible GPs needed, I will cover this on my own. If a contestant enters nothing at all for this round - they will be eliminated, and if there are others who wish to participate, spots will re-open so we can have 32 contestants for the first round. EXAMPLE: Beginning Amount 1,064,000 GPs: (We do not currently have these funds - it is an example of what the prize distributions would look like if I did have the funds. Depending on what funds are gained, these will change come the opening of the competition.) Practice Round - 32 total contestants 32 possible winners! The contestants will see an example of what the round challenges will be. 1,000 GPs will be distributed to each who successfully complete the challenge. Round 1 - 32 total contestants 16 winners, each with a group to support. Each winner and group would receive 6250 GPs for a win in the first round. Round 2 - 16 total contestants 8 winners, each with a group to support. Each winner and group would receive 12,500 GPs for a win in the second round. Round 3 - 8 total contestants 4 winners, each with a group to support. Each winner and group would receive 25,000 GPs for a win in the third round. Round 4 - 4 total contestants 2 winners, each with a group to support. Each winner and group would receive 50,000 GPs for a win in the fourth round. Round 5 - FINAL - 2 total contestants 1 winner with a group to support. The winner and group would receive 100,000 GPs for a win in the final round. Now accepting Contestants and Donations!
