Each round will start on Monday at noon and will end two Mondays later at 11:59 a.m.

Every Item entered MUST be a new item written for the contest!

One entry per person.

Entries may be either poetry (up to 60 lines) or fiction (with a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 2,500 words).

A word count MUST be included in your forum post or your item.

Editing is allowed, however, I cannot guarantee when your item will be read so it would be in your best interest to ensure that your item is complete when you post it!

All entries MUST be entered using the {bitem:xxxxxxx} format. Please feel free to use either individual static items or book entries, but please, only one entry in each static item. If you need help with posting in bitem, you can find some help here "Linking Help And Practice" 

Stories containing Pedophilia, Incest, Rape, or Bestiality will be immediately disqualified - this is a ROMANCE contest and there is no ROMANCE in any of those!

As you will have two weeks to write, I will be judging based upon: Spelling, grammar, punctuation, prompt usuage, originality, plot (yes, even a flash must have a plot), and character development. Of course, let's not forget the ROMANCE factor!

Items can be rated from at least 13+ (come on, how are you going to truly get romantic with a rating less than that?) up to XGC (Yes, I will be allowing erotica into the contest!)

Entries MUST follow the prompt for the round.

Prizes

1^st Place: First Place will be awarded a 10K awardicon for their winning item and 5,000 GPs

Honorable Mentions: Honorable Mention(s) may be awarded 5,000 GPs, depending on their entry and my desire to award them.

Rounds with 10 or More Entries: In Rounds where there are ten or more entries, a 2^nd place will be awarded in the form of a Romance or Erotica Merit Badge, based upon their entry.

Winners will be listed in the ""Flashes of Romance Hall of Passion" "

As long as I run this contest I will NEVER award a tie. I believe each award should hold a special honor for it's awardee and I will never make you share that honor!

Passion Prize: What's that you say? A secondary prize? Why yes. Every round with at least 8 entries will hold one "Passion Prize". This prize will be awarded to the FIRST writer who follows both the Round prompt and the Passion Prize Prompt. The Passion Prize Prompt will be announced with the Round Prompt.

Donations

Donations are accepted and appreciated. Any donation of 40,000 GPs or more will receive a Merit Badge of the donator's choice. Donations of 100,000 GPs or more will receive a Merit Badge of choice, three quality reviews, and an Awardicon for the reviewed item of my choice.
