Entries must be submitted by the end date -- late entries won't be considered. This contest is a celebration of poetry, and all things of the fantasy persuasion! I want to offer all of the wonderful poets and poetesses the opportunity to showcase their talent in 'The Enchanted Book of Poems.' PatrickB-new biz with MissBee  and I are looking forward to judging and rewarding our monthly entrants, and we hope this will give others the opportunity to challenge themselves with the inspirational prompts that will be provided each month. There are no hard and fast rules (except for the massive list I am going to scribble down below)  Jokes aside, the prompts are sheerly a guide that you might draw ideas from, but the only real requirement is that your poem be in the fantasy/mythological theme and that they have never placed in a WDC contest. Poems can be either old or newly written. The poems will be judged sheerly on merit, and the best poetry will always reign supreme. All are welcome to the contest, so don't be shy. No late entries will be considered. All poetry forms are acceptable, and the prompts offered are there primarily for inspiration. However, all poems must adhere to the fantasy/mythology theme. While I would like for you to be inspired by this contest to create new works, you may enter your older poetry, awarded or otherwise. The awarded items will be the best poems in the opinion of the judges, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding results. If there are four or less pieces entered in the contest, only first prize will be awarded. Items musn't exceed GC and anything that does will be deleted from the forum. Erotica is acceptable, but graphic obscenity (deemed so by the judges -- and it really has to be quite graphic) will be disqualified. If your poem is deemed to exceed the rating GC, you will be informed specifically why. In addition to this, your entry will be deleted from the forum. If in doubt, please send the poem along in an email for a quick read before posting. Entries must be posted in b-item format in the forum below. Example as follows: {b-item: xxxxxxxx} Instead of using the letter 'x' you will use the item I.D of your poem. Also, make sure there are no spaces between the brackets, letters, and numerals. It has to be squeezed together like a can of sardines  Only one entry per person, per month. You may edit your item only until 12:00 midnight WDC time on the last day of the month. Any edits after this time will disqualify the entry. Convention. Spelling/Grammar. Originality. Presentation.We will be rating these five areas from 1-10. After adding the totals for each piece, the winners will be the top four scores. This means in the course of a year, four trimestral champions will be declared and receive a 50K awardicon. And just to sweeten the deal , PatrickB-new biz with MissBee and I will also be awarding an annual prize which will be determined from the trimestral champions.
