Ladies and gentlemen, it's back! Long, Long, Long has returned to reward short stories of at least 5,000 words and the writers who pour their hearts into them. As a writer of these somewhat longer pieces, I hope to find others who enjoy this level of writing as much as I do. Some of my favorite stories are longer than typical online short stories, and I want to see more of them. This is a great venue to achieve that aim. Because this is not as broad or ambitious as "Troublesome Musings"  [18+], this contest will be semi-annual (running in September and March).





1. Only story items (fiction and non-fiction) are permitted in this contest. All stories must have between 5,000 and 20,000 words. (Yes, this is an increase from the previous incarnation's word limit.) A word count must be posted at the end of the story.

2. ONE item of any rating per person per round.

3. All entries must be static items with the rating displayed in the link. This allows the contest forum to maintain an 18+ rating.

4. Entries must be edited by the round's closing date. Any entries edited after that time will be disqualified.

5. Items that have won other contests or have received awards from other individuals than myself are permitted.

6. New round details will be announced in a forum post. The current round will run September 1 to October 1. Here is the more detailed information for the current round: "Round Two"  




First Place: 75,000 GP ribbon (winner's choice of color)
         20,000 GP's

Second Place: 50,000 GP ribbon (winner's choice of color)
         15,000 GP's

Third Place: 25,000 GP ribbon (winner's choice of color)
         10,000 GP's

Honorable Mention: 10,000 GP ribbon (winner's choice of color)
         5,000 GP's

Note: Honorable Mention prizes are awarded only in rounds with more than five entries. I also love to give out awardicons. It's one of my favorite things to do, and prize substitutions sometimes break my heart. If you absolutely cannot accept an awardicon, please e-mail me to make other arrangements.
