Lady Phoenix

The Sun is reborn every morning, because it perishes every night,
Announcing it is time, for the Phoenix to take flight.

Every time you rain on me, my ambition will light my flame,
Doesn’t matter how much you’ve hurt me, my pride will remain the same.
If you try to make me lose Hope, my aspiration will burn even longer,
Doesn’t matter how you put me down, I will always come back stronger.

When you think I am too weak, I’ll flap my wings and teach myself to fly,
When no trace of me is left, you’ll find my feathers scattered across the sky.
If you are thinking I won’t last, my sudden blaze of truth will prove you wrong,
When you leave me to be alone, I’ll find company within my nocturnal song.

When the path I have lost, Let the fire contained by my eyes illuminate the way,
Even if your prayers are against me, the sun will guide me so I will never go astray.
You can remind me of my past failures, but that is all part of a distant yesterday,
You can say what you please, but I will pay no mind; because my future starts today.

You will see me soar across the heavens, my golden flames consuming my fears,
The sparks leave you a trail of where I have been, places that I will never again come near.

We come together today to celebrate the birthday of a very special member of WdC LdyPhoenix She can always be counted on for a helping hand or kind word, and her creativity is on the level of simply marvelous. With smiles and laughter we celebrate the birthday of a dear friend, Ldyphoenix is someone whose generosity, humor, and friendship has made a great addition to the wonderful community of WdC.







Beautiful, glorious and sacrificing self for renewal,
you build a pyre and set yourself ablaze.
For the
sake of self.
Red bird of fire you come forth through
your ashes a new bird shedding the old self which no
longer is needful.
You embrace your new strength and
fly to the heights of the sky to the city of the sun and
give the ashes unto the alter of the sun god for your
immortality.
Embrace yourself for you are a child of
the sun and will live eternal through birth, death, and
renewal! The spirit never dies!

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
