A council of nations leads the world in terms of law and economics urging peace and harmony among all people, yet it's been deemed impossible for a perfect coexistence to be. War is a part of human nature, and in an effort to soften the sharp edges of this conflict the council has changed it's face.

The five major nations of Skyland, Ultega, Rujin, Ahmas, and Unis represent themselves in war with two teams of two soldiers.

Every ten years a war is waged using their former capitols burned down at the founding of the United Nations Council.

Even though only ten people participate to give their lives to save the thousands that would die otherwise; their lives belong to them. How can war be perfect if it is still war?

Here is info on the nations:

Skyland

A large nation made up of several unified nations. The people value their cultural diversity and the freedom to speak out against issues pertaining to the public. They are not afraid to ask questions and are bold in their pursuit of answers. (Think US and Canada)

Divided into States

Skyland joined WW4 to aid it's allies in Ultega, but ended up inciting Ahmas into anger instead of scaring them into backing off. Unis joined against Ultega and Rujin was forced to defend themselves against the rogue armies of Unis. Rujin sought aid from Skyland and Ultega urged Skyland to help Rujin eventually resulting in an all out conflict.

Skyland was the first to remove itself from the conflict when their all-volunteer army refused to fight any longer. They were forced to pull out their forces and try and coerce other nations into peace talks.

Sometimes seen as arrogant, the multitude of their population is curious, progressive, and proud.

Ultega

A large nation where nationalism is a key social quality. The nation values their image as having hard working hardy people who are constantly striving to overcome difficulty. They have a highly volatile past, but over the years have become less easy to ignite. (Think Germany and England)

Single Nation

Ultega has had a past filled with turmoil and controversy, but has been unified for the shortest time. Originally two nations called Arlis and Garelle, they unified after WW2 which was caused by Garelle. Arlis united under the same rule in order to keep the world off the backs of the Garellians.

Ultega integrated well with very little internal conflict arising from their unification. After forcing unification of Unis they tried to hold the land themselves to ensure that intercontinental conflict cease. They were met with fierce resistance from the Uni's and eventually Ahmas urged them to pull out. Skyland intervened and somewhat forced them from the country. Ultega has as of late not held tension with the other nations, but are still seen as highly competitive and holders of intense national pride.

Rujin

An exotic nation full of highly tolerant people who work for perfection in all things. They have a rich history and culture, but also spearhead technological advancement and invention. Their people are outwardly humble yet highly competitive and motivated. (Asia especially China, Korea, and Japan)

Divided into Districts

Rujin has always been a nation very different from others around the world. They're older history is filled with feudalistic wars and conflict, but since WW2 they've been less concerned with warfare and more concerned with preserving their unique culture and advancing technology. They have a healthy sense of competition, their people embrace patience, humility, and hard work. To strive for perfection in all things is their way.


Ahmas

Full of great thinkers and a vibrant history of prominent figures. Some of their states are extremely war-like. They train several people vigorously in case the gift comes up in someone unexpected. Their country is highly religiously motivated. Ahmanians value their faith and morals over most anything else, but will defend themselves ardently when challenged. (Think Middle East)

Divided into States

Ahmas has been a powerhouse of religious activity for hundreds of years (Think Judeo-Christian and Islam). Different sects exist and yet holy land is almost always found within the borders of Ahmas. Their unification and settle of border disputes brought a much needed coexistence of the different faiths. Their history is rich with great scholars and the like. Ahmas is made up of different States which are former countries some of which dealt with war like it was at the center of life. Their people are impossible to intimidate, pious, and yet beyond their stone like resistance to others they are accepting and typically understanding as long as they are not coaxed to sway their own ways.

Unis

A nation comprised of smaller countries that are not represented in a superpower. Most of them have proud heritage and are extremely nationalist referring to the Unis nation as one nation instead of the several small countries. However, Unis's political representative will be from the country who's soldiers win and proceeds to the finals. If they are from different countries the surviving soldiers must compete one last time in a non lethal match against one another in order to decide their representative.


Unis is the formerly small countries that were in conflict with one another united under the military presence of Ultega until their combined resistance put enough pressure that other nations urged Ultega's withdrawal for fear of a full scale war. Unis is not fully unified and their continued coexistence is sometimes rocky. All attempts at total unification have failed and tensions with the conglomerate of nations is rising, but so far has been kept under control.

World history

Current Year: 2078

In 2032 a new world war began being the fourth in the history of this particular world. The five nations shown were its combatants and as war escalated there was more and more fear of nuclear warfare.

In 2043: Almost every soldier refused to fight. In some countries/nations this resulted in many domestic kills by soldiers who were still doing what they were told, but in the end with no army to fight for them the nations receded from combat. When civil unrest reached its peak in Skyland the citizens fled the capitol and burned it down. Other nations began to follow suit.

March 11th, 2043-Peace Day: Skyland refuses to fight any longer opting only to defend itself from it's attackers in protest of the war. After several bombing they cease to be targets of occupation.

May 3rd, 2043-Peace Day: Ultega nearly splits in two over the issue, but ultimately decides against picking up Skyland's end of the war and pulls out of combat for lack of soldiers to fight.

September 1st, 2043-Neo Meiji/Heping: Rujin denounces the war and turns it's soldiers into relief aid for bombed out cities around the world. Skyland and Ultega quickly join the cause.

September 12th, 2043-UNC: Skyland begins trying to upgrade the United Nations to the United Nations World Council. The idea is slow to start.

October 5th, 2043-End: Amhas and Unis officially declare truce and stop building weapons. The war ends and deliberation on how to solve the massive unrest begins.

In 2044: The UNC is finally official uniting the world leaders and appointing leaders to countries without them. This causes some turmoil at first but negotiations go surprisingly well and each country that wants to advance and regain standing with its people joins.

February 1st: Skyland President Alan Ellis is chosen to head the UNC, but must resign from his position as President. This makes waves in the other nations populations, but unrest is quelled. The position itself holds little more power than the Skyland President had in the first place.

2045: The Perfect War Agreement is announced in which sets the new face of war.

Each nation is represented in war by two teams of two soldiers. The capitol cities burned down in the midst of the war are to be used as arenas for the new soldiers. After circulating the soldiers enough for a final victor the winning nation's representative would be the UNC President thus deciding what issues to deal with for the next ten years.

2048: Draft begins. Skyland has the only volunteer recruitment.

2050: First War is waged with Skyland coming out the winner.

2051: Skyland begins the move to open world borders.

2053: The move succeeds, and Unis unrest become high.

2055: UNC attempts to truly unify Unis, but the move quickly fails.

2058: Next draft begins. The first special soldiers are discovered changing the game in combat.

2060: Next war waged. Rujin's Takeo Ushimada becomes President of UNC.
Changes title to 'Prime Minister'
Begins 'Pangaea' project.

2062: Full-fledged military is banned for participating members of the UNC in lieu of Self Defense Forces.

2064: Skyland and Amhas push for Unis to fully unify again.

2066: It fails again
Ultega President Dan Hertz is taken out of office and Ultega forfeits its say in UNC matters until after the next war.
UNC permits studies to be done on special soldiers.

2068: They can find no biological results or methods of replication for these abilities. The next draft begins.
Death is no longer necessary for victory in the war.
Almost all soldiers are specials this time.

2070: Skyland wins again and President Albert Hayes is appointed head of UNC.
Unis's final soldier surrenders and in a riot is executed upon return to his homeland.
Ultega appoints Albert Ross to be their representative.

2071: There is an assassination attempt on Albert Hayes and Albert Ross. Ross is nearly killed and suffers severe brain damage.
Tension rises in Unis about the repeal of death from the war under the belief that millions had died in the past for their country and the safety net of little danger makes their soldiers less soldiers and more 'game show contestants'. Representing one's nation is something one should be willing to die for.

2074: Lethal combat in war is reinstated due to majority vote. Skyland, Rujin, and most of Ultega are highly upset by this.

2076: Nicholas Haldor is appointed as the Ultega representative.

2078: Pangaea project revealed and nearly complete. It is a man-island in the pacific that can detach from the shelf below and move like a giant ship. It is rumored to be a new place for the final battles of the war to take place.
