    WDC is 11 years old! And to celebrate this amazing milestone, the "The WDC Angel Army"  and "I.N.K.E.D." are proud to join hands in hosting this writing event for our wonderful members!  With this contest, we hope that it encourages more members to make use of the awesome blog feature available, and to promote more fun communication amongst writers via another writing medium! Please make sure rules and guidelines are read carefully before beginning, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask at any time!  1. Contest will run from September 1st - September 10th (10 days of competition) 2. A blog must be created specifically for this competition. If you are unable to create a blog but still wish to participate, then a static item must be created to house all entries with each entry appropriately labeled including the date. 3. Teams of three must be formed to create a Relay Team. You are welcome to call yourselves anything and all teams and members, with links to their blogs, will be listed below to keep track. 4. Each day, the baton (theme) will be posted below, and teammates are to decide who will kick off the relay. Member chosen must write up a blog entry based on the theme set. The next day, Member #2 picks up the 'baton' and continues with the new theme set and on and on until the last day. 5. Entries must not exceed 500 words of short stories, 40 lines of poetry or 500 words of free-verse . Please specify word or line count in each entry! 6. Entries must not exceed the 18+ rating. 7. All entries must be posted here in the forum with a link: {entry:xxxxxxx}. If using static item, then a bitem link: {bitem:xxxxxx} to your entry works just as well. Subject header should read: TEAM X: DAY ONE ENTRY, TEAM X: DAY TWO ENTRY etc. etc. 8. All entries must be submitted by the deadline which will usually be at 11:59PM WDC Time of the day theme is set. 9. Can I submit a late entry? Yes, you can, but it will not be in the running for the daily prize. 10. What happens if a teammate does not submit an entry? Can someone else do it for him or her? That is fine, but because teammate could not participate, it is considered 'dropping the baton' and entry will not be eligible for the daily prizes. 11. However, note that even if your entries do not qualify for the daily prizes, it is still eligible/in-the-running for the grand prizes listed below.   A daily prize of 10,000gps will be awarded to the best entry for the day. At the end of the competition, the following prizes will be awarded to the best team for overall quality of entries and active participation.   GRAND PRIZE (GOLD)TEAM CHICKADEES  A 50,000gps awardicon to each member of the team A Leadership Merit Badge to each member of the team 25,000gps to each member of the team IST RUNNER UP (SILVER)TEAM MYSTERY PET LOVERS A 25,000gps awardicon to each member of the team A Writing Merit Badge to each member of the team 10,000gps to each member of the team 2ND RUNNER UP (BRONZE)TEAM GREEN LEAVES A 10,000gps awardicon to each member of the team A Writing Merit Badge to each member of the team 5,000gps to each member of the team OTHER RANDOM PRIZES: Best commenter - goes to person(s) who hops to all blogs to read and review/leave feedback on each blog entry. (A Cheerleader Merit Badge + 10,000gps up for grabs) Random Virtual Dice Winner(s)! - everyday one of our leaders will roll the virtual dice based on participants and he or she will win a merit badge of their choice!
