HORROR, Inc. Presents…    Unleash the darkness within! Make our hair stand on end, a shiver run up our spine, scare us out of our minds! We welcome the masterfully macabre, delightfully demented, garishly gruesome….Oh, I could go on and on. Do you think you have what it takes to keep our eyes glued to the screen in open-mouthed horror? If you think you do…then come…stay awhile  . We look forward to reading…   We are looking for Short Stories only. No poetry please. The length of your story should be between 500 and 5000 words. No more, no less. Your word count should be posted in either the body of your short story or in your forum post. Ratings should be 13+ or higher. We are basing this contest on SCARE factor. Stories are due by the date given below no later than 1159 p.m. WDC time. The closing and opening dates all happen to coincide with the full moon. Only one story submission allowed per author. New stories only. Your story must be created between the opening and closing date of the contest. Your stories must be posted in the forum in bitem format only. For example: {bitem: #######} No spaces. For more help on bitem format, please see: "Linking Help And Practice"  You may edit your story as many times as you want before the contest comes to a close. Do not alter your story in any way after the closing date until after the winners have been announced. This is a prompt based monthly horror contest. All stories submitted must have something to do with the prompt given.If any of the rules above are not followed, we reserve the right to delete your entry without warning.  Please feel free to email me, J. Marie Ravenshaw   , with any questions.  You will be judged on the scare factor of your story. Please proofread. Ultimately bad grammar and spelling take away from your story. So, polish it up! You will not be judged solely on grammar and spelling. However, it will increase your chances of winning in the long run. Please allow a week for judging. The Winners will be announced sometime during the seven days after the contest closes no later than 1159 p.m. WDC time on the 7th day. The judge’s decisions are FINAL.
