Eat My Valentine Contest
A simple short story contest to be judged by yours truly!

I want to thank everyone who joined this contest. I have had a busy day and have not been able to make it through all the entries just yet. I am going to review each story in the next few days, but I'll announce the winner a.s.a.p.! Bare with me!


I'm starting this little contest for the fun of it. I have a few prompts you can choose from. Just one round, just one story, a 12,000 GP pay out and maybe even an awardicon. ;)

Please submit in the forum in bitem format by Valentine's day (Feb. 14th) at noon.

The theme for this contest is basically a big screw-off to Valentine's Day, wherein we dishonor this commercial holiday by writing stories of betrayal and/or agony and/or deceit! I'll give you a few prompts, but you don't have to follow 'em. Just make a story that eschews sentimental crap! Below are the prompts. The only other thing I ask is that you keep it below 2000 words!



PROMPT 1: Base your story on a real life event. Surely you've had a god-awful experience with a crappy (ex)lover. You can put it on Valentine's day for effect if you want, but you don't have to.

PROMPT 2: Character 1 has a thing for character 2, who has a thing for character 3, who has a thing for character 4. How does this end, besides badly?

PROMPT 3: You are or your character is stranded on an island and somehow figures out that it's Valentines day. Why don't you miss it?


(For the record, every genre will be accepted - Drama, Horror, Suspense, Etc. Pieces will be judged on creativity and
relatability.)

Quick update: I forgot to mention that I'll be announcing the winner on the 15th. If I get less than 3 entries I will consider the contest canceled but will still give consolation GP's to participants!
