Summer Christmas Writing Contest

We're bringing a little sunshine to WDC this Christmas! Join us and win prizes!


Every year Christmas arrives in the Southern Hemisphere at the same time as summer. For those of us 'down under', Christmas is a time for sunscreen, swimming, camping and BBQs. We go to the beach, eat pavlova and enjoy the wonder of Christmas in summer.

Allow us in the "Kiwis on WDC!"  group to bring a little sunshine to WDC this Christmas!

Who can enter:
Anyone and everyone here on WDC!

What you can enter:
Any static item - poems, short stories, articles... If you can write it and it fits the theme, we'd like to read it! One entry per person please.

Theme:
Christmas in summer.

Length:
No minimum, no maximum.

Rating:
Contest entries may be of any rating, but please keep all forum posts to an 'E' rating.

Prizes:
First prize: A 'summer' merit badge and 30,000 GPs
Second prize: A 'travel' merit badge and 20,000 GPs
Third prize: A 'writing' merit badge and 10,000 GPs
Every entry will receive at least one review.

Entries accepted from now until midnight December 31st, WDC time. All entries may be edited up to that time.

Winners will be announced by January 31st. The delay is to allow those of us who are going camping to return and have time to read all the wonderful entries!

Donations are welcome and will be used for additional prizes.
