When I returned to school at age 30, we had a student store that sold refreshments and school supplies. Often someone would come in to buy a candy bar and comment, “25 cents! Why I remember when…” and J.R., the guy who ran the store would say, “OK, everybody drag up a chair for another edition of ‘I remember when.’” Recently, part of this list was posted in Gailey’s Place. Then I got it in a little different form in personal email. I added a few items from my memories and got to thinking there are many more that could be added. Ergo, this forum. Please post additional items you remember and I will then post them in a sequential listing as a static item called I Remember When 2
