Stories.com has members from various parts of the world. We are truly a global community. So, we would like to see contest entries from all over the world. You may be based in the USA or in Africa, Holland or Germany, Japan or Korea, anywhere. You could have emigrated to another country. Write a prose piece about a place of great natural beauty in the country or state that you live in or originated from. Write about why you love and identify with the place. Describe it's beauty. Do you feel a personal connection with it? Use the effect of the seasons .....write anything you want, take off, be creative. Don't worry about the differences between US English, UK English, Aussie English, whatever, .... as long as it is in English and it's not poetry. Yes, sorry guys, no poetry; there's too much of it getting written.:) There are no restrictions on the length of the piece except that it should be more than a 1000 words. First prize -- 15000 GPs Second Prize -- 8000 GPs Third prize -- 5000 GPs Special mentions 500 GPs. There are no case colour restrictions -- it's a level playing field. Go do your thing. All prize winners and special mentions will find immortality in the 'International Hall of Fame' in the International Forum.
