Writing a Novel? Want to write one? Have you written one?
Then you have come to the right place!
Note: This forum is simply for information. You will not see reviews, books, or interaction between members in this forum. All activity resides inside the forums of the groups.
We do a lot of work in here.
We created this workshop when we realized our novels were not being reviewed due their length. We all like having our pieces read, so we created a place
where would-be novelists could congregate and share!
These groups are different than any other in the fact that we take the time
to read, review, and critique each members' work, chapter by chapter.
We all need a push in the right direction, as well as support from our fellow novelists.
This is the place to get all that, and more.
We also work hard to get your novel ready for publication. We all want our
pieces to make it to print; we can help you get there.
We tweak it 'til it shines.
ALL THIS ATTENTION, and ALL YOU HAVE TO DO
IS WANT TO MAKE IT!
What is the critera for such a group, you ask? Well, take a look below, and
you might be surprised to find that you already have what it takes!
In the detailed forums you will be able to have your novels read, chapter by chapter, over a period of time, and will be given honest, constructive and detailed critiques/reviews by nearly every person in your genre group. However, you must participate and do the same for your fellow members.
You must have at least one chapter of your novel located in your portfolio on writing.com. We welcome newbies, but we want to know this is really happening for you
You must be serious about wanting to be published, and about helping your
fellow group members succeed as well.
You must heed the deadlines for writing and/or editing your chapters.
You must participate and be supportive, that is the key to reaching your
goal.
We currently have (6) genre forums up and running!
You must be 18 or older to join any group except the Young Adult Group. We accept all genres in the Y/A Club and are happy to make sure you have a great time!
Go ahead and enter each one to learn a bit more about it, and see who is in there!
Bet you will find one you can't resist!
*** IMPORTANT: The above survey MUST be completed in order to gain entrance into the Novel Workshops.
What have you got to lose besides valuable feedback? Hopefully this will give us all the motivation we need for our final goal of publication!
The Novel Workshop is HUGE! It can overwhelm you at times. We have a forum for each genre where your work will be posted. We post every review into the forums themselves so that we can all benefit from what you are learning and teaching. It's big. It can be confusing, but the most important thing to keep in mind is that you can ask questions. The only stupid question is one you don't ask!
We currently have nearly 200 people actively working on their books throughout the groups. And we have over 30 books that went through The Novel Workshop and are now published through self-publishing, e-book publishers and traditional publishers! It's a GREAT place!
DREAM BIG. AIM HIGH. HAVE FUN. WORK HARD. NEVER GIVE UP!
