Memories Of November 22, 1963

November 22, 1963 started out as just a normal day. For me, it was a day to be excited about preparations for our upcoming Christmas pageant (Go here: "After The First Run-Through" . I also remember how, two days later, my cousins and I were in my room playing either Monopoly or Hearts while assorted adult family members were sitting in the living room watching TV--and how my folks came up to my room to inform us that somebody had just shot the man who had shot the President. As my mom and I watched the Kennedy funeral the following week, she made the comment to me that we were watching history in the making. We who remember should present that history to those who weren't even born then in a way that makes it live outside their textbooks.
