October is upon us ~ the time when our creative thoughts turn to All Saints Eve, better known as HALLOWEEN! THEREFORE, the Costume Shoppe's Inventory is now stocked with Spooky Sigs of the Third Spooky Kind! ( ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR EACH OF THEM TO FULLY DOWNLOAD. ) Help yourself to any you like and wear them eerily as you mosey about Tricking and Treating here at Writing.com! ALL displayed Sigs are FREE to anyone wishing to include them in their Writing.com Personal Signatures ~ directions for those who are uncertain about how to add them will follow.

NOTE:   THE "INVENTORY" OF FREE SIGS HERE WILL CHANGE WITH THE SEASON/HOLIDAYS/SPECIAL EVENTS/ETC... SO BE SURE TO SAVE THIS PAGE TO YOUR FAVORITES AND COME BACK LATER TO DO SEE WHAT'S NEW!

As time permits, I'll begin adding free 'Themed' as well as 'All-Occasion' type Sigs for anyone who'd like to use them. ( As the number of displayed Sigs grows, I will create a Photo Album for them that Visitors can view by accessing it from this forum. Opening the Photo Album will hasten dowload time for the images therein. ) The corresponding Image Numnber is noted beneath each Sig for your convenience in adding it, but REMEMBER ~ do NOT include the spaces between letters and brackets. (More about this later...) If you are interested in having a unique Personal Sig designed just for you, please post your request below, including include your passions, interests, and likes so that I can tailor the Sig specifically to YOU!

HOW TO ADD A SIG TO YOUR PERSONAL WRITING.COM SIGNATURE


1. Locate "MEMBER TOOLS" on the left side of your screen. Click on it and a drop box will appear ~ click on "MY ACCOUNT".

2. Once you arrive at "MY ACCOUNT", look at the RIGHT SIDE COLUMN - in that column, the second choice down is "CHANGE MY SIGNATURE". Click on that.

3. Once you arrive at "CHANGE MY SIGNATURE", you will note that the first empty text box is labelled "Default Signature ( Email/Forums/ Books )". IN THAT TEXT BOX TYPE: { center }{imageBigsmile----}, replacing the dashes with the image # for the Sig you want to use. REMEMBER TO DELETE ANY SPACES - there should be no spaces after the { or before the }. Once you've done that, click below on the Text Box on the word, "UPDATE". Your change(s) will then upload.

4. As soon as upload finishes, you'll see a link just below the word, "UPDATE" that says, "After updating this signature, click HERE to test view it." Click on these words and a preview of your new Personal Signature will appear. Now, anytime you create an e-mail, a post, etc., you'll simply type in your message and find that the code for your Personal Signature has already been automatically added. If you type your message BEFORE the pre-added signature text, your recipient will see your message followed by your automatically added Personal Signature. You can use multiple items/images/bitems/etc. in your Personal Signature up to a limit of 250 characters. You can also display selected desired items/images randomly ~ see the instructions and other text boxes on the "CHANGE MY SIGNATURE" Page.
