To email a fellow WdC member, click on the briefcase beside their handle. If you're emailing in response to a rant seen here, it would be nice of you to mention that fact in your email, instead of diving in as if it's a direct reply, thus confusing the hell out of them.

There is no box on this forum you can write a reply in that is both within the rules and will go to the ranter. None. One makes a reply to the post, which is against the rules, (that's the quick-reply box, for those who have paid accounts), and the other box you might find at the end of pages goes to me as a review for the forum. In neither case will the ranter see your reply---the first sort, I will delete. The second sort goes to me.

Pay attention---about a quarter of the reviews on this contest are from people who thought they were rating/reviewing individual rants. If you're trying to contact a ranter, and WdC prompts you to make a star rating, you're reviewing me. I think it's just dandy if you want to send the ranter an email and some GPs, just make sure you're emailing them. Because from now on, I'm keeping the GPs. These unintentional donations will reimburse contest funds people waste when they screw up their vote in the voting booth so badly that I have no idea what rant they intended to vote for.
