I figured it was too good to be true... if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck... well, ya know. I submitted my manuscript for a children's story and they said it was good, but I needed a third party critique with credentials and they could kindly refer me to someone who would charge a fee that I would be responsible for. They sent me a two year contract that doesn't really say much and leaves a few open ends in my opinion. I googled the agency and found negative forums galore. Does anyone have any input about this agency? I found it through some obscure link from this site... which I love... so I was surprised to see so much negative stuff floating around cyberspace about them. I was really excited for a minute there;publishing a children's book would be great! If you have any suggestions about how I get my foot in the door, I am all ears. If you wanna check out the story: "Invalid Item" If you wanna take a look at the emails between myself and the Children's Literary Agency and the contract: "Invalid Item" (If I should not have these emails available for public scrutiny or the contract, I will gladly remove them.) Thanks. |
