First of all thank you for hosting a forum where topics for discussion can be explored no matter how serious. I must say that a lack of response to my posting of

was disappointing. My feelings don't stem from a lack of reviews because my piece was well written. I proofread my work prior to posting. In addition, I have compassion for readers who may find serious, delicate and strong content too much for them. Everyone has a right to their opinions.

However, the issue of child molestation demands our attention. Yes I adamantly promote complete neutralization for child sexual predators by means of the death penalty. Please note that 10,000 women and children are murdered or missing in the United States every year. And 10,000 is a conservative figure. This is an outrage! Sad to say but poor women and children are considered as disenfranchised segments of society. The consensus for inaction to address this painful situation is a lack of money. And I don't mean lack of money in the government's budget eitther.

My contention is that women and children are not major contributors to the nation's economy. Women earn smaller salaries and children don't work. Hence the miniscule attention to their problems because it is commiserate to their contributions. This is wrong. I can't change the world but I want to make a difference. And dialogue about a painful and ongoing situation is the beginning of change.

My fellow writers, I ask for your opinions and your ideas for a solution to the horrors of child molestation and how the monsters that perpetrate these nightmares can be stopped.
