I have been guilty of using ROFL or LOL in emails off Writing.com. (hanging head in shame.) However, and it's a big however, when I receive an email here containing what I call teener texting, I simply delete it from the system without sending a "thank you" reply. If that person can't take the time to review using correct grammar and punctuation, I feel they don't respect me or what I've spent my time writing. Even a 5.0 rating means nothing to me from them. Maybe I'm out of touch with reality, but I'd love to see what some of their high school English assignments are like.
