Oh, yes - our "hamster in a wheel" days. As I recall, though, we were doing it partly in protest of the whole durned thing...
I think what really chaps our hides, some days, is just knowing there are folks who only "review" for the points - not for the love of reading or any real desire to help others. But it does keep the conversation going, and if a sincere reviewer sees such a public review - aren't they likely to be spurred to do the reviewee a kindness and send them a better one? You can find the silver lining if you look long enough.
And yes, fermenting. Just...fermenting. But it's there. ;)
