I agree, we should pray for and uphold our new leaders - whether we voted for them or not. We are people and have the potential of doing good and bad, even when we think we are doing right. Of all people we have the most to encourage us to be optimistic and believe in the good. I believe God's hand is over all. He does not force His will upon others - we must all choose for ourselves the good or the evil, but we can trust God with the outcome. No unhallowed hand will can stop the work of the Lord. We have no reason to fear and plenty of potential for good. Just look at Prop 8. People stepped forward to defend the family and God's design of marriage.

Ps, however, I'm seeing a lot of sneaking stuff into bills that have no business being there - such as the mental health bill tacked onto the Bailout bill.
