Sarah Palin will step down as the governor of Alaska on 26th of this month. It's a move that has opened up a lot of unnecessary speculation. She told us exactly why she's quitting, she wants out of politics. It's become a "blood sport" and a "full-court press". Honestly, I feel sort of sorry for her. For as long as she's been in the public spotlight, she's probably not been able to form an independent thought. She was the shining hope of a party that needed to craft a new piece of talent to battle a democratic superstar. From her debate with Biden to the sweat suits after her wardrobe debacle, she's been a tool. Her want to rise has opened up her family to the press and comedians. She herself has been the target of her own party's ire as well, splitting it down the middle. 2012 is a ways off, and it would be rude of any of us to support her in that campaign. After all, if she really wanted to be a presidential hopeful, proving she could govern the state of Alaska would have been a step in the right direction. Instead she leaves amid ethics investigations and as a governor who was unreliable, touring the lower 48 during a flood in her state. No, this is a woman with a charming smile who simply wants to be a mother. So in 2012, let's make her keep her promise, let's start now, by not paying attention to her, and allowing her to quit in peace. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** This electronic missive has been sent accordingly and with due diligence by a revolutionary |
