Well I'm one busy guy (kid, I guess), as I'm a junior in High School. I have one AP course, the rest are honors, and I'm on the Swim team and in the Mock Trial. I'm also reading my essay at the Veteran's day conference, as I won my school's contest. I'm also starting a group of my own, so understandably, I don't have too much free time! What I like to do is jot down little things that come to me, whether its a word of wisdom, poetic line, or inspiration. You could also 'observe,' and practice writing as much detail as you can about one thing to help get the muse burning. Do this whenever you have a few free minutes and are bored. If you're sitting on break and have ten minutes until you get back on the clock, it would be a great time to jot down something. Then, when you have time, you can expand on these things. If you have a day off, or a few hours before work, utilize that time. You'll find that as you get into the habit of routine writing, it isn't that hard. I hope this helps!
