I'm beginning to wonder what I'm doing on this site as I get so few reviews which I usually return - see my given reviews, which I try to be honest but contructive. Judging by the ratings I do get my work is of good quality and quite frankly I see lesser work getting many more reviews. So why is that?

There seems little point in putting items on items for review and plug page as very few of the public reviews come from these pages. So what is the secret? Frankly, I don't see any point in posting stuff if you don't get reviews a typical example is my user poll which attracted 4 votes from 12 views - 8 people didn't seem prepared to tick a box so what are they afraid of?.
