I am so happy I found your site. I am a semi-retired actor, and have taken up writing. I have written in the past (unsuccessfully of course). Things like Screenplays and ill conceived attempts at novels. None of which I know where they are now. But now that I found myself retired and too much time on my hands, I decided to go back and try again. This time I had the good fortune to have a friend who was a published writer. She was an invaluable source of information on format, outline, idea forming and so forth.
So, long story short, I have finished my first novel, and it's a whopper (588 pages.) I sent out tons of queries and got tons of rejections back. Then, I decided to go the self publishing route. What a learning experience that has been! I have two editions on amazon.com and a Kindle version as well. Maybe when I get brave enough to do it, I'll post a chapter of it in my portfolio. In the meantime, I just wanted to say hi to all. Oh! I guess I should tell you the title? It's called 'Evil Moon.' It is a werewolf horror genre novel. I now have set up a website to promote it and a blog. I think I have a lot to learn both about writing AND marketing. Anyway, I'm going to start exploring!
