Hello everyone. I just found this site today, strange as I have never thought to look for an online writers forum before today.

I am, as I'm learning is the norm, a rather shy-about-my-writing newbie and rather reluctant to take the plunge and join a local writers community until I feel a little more confident about my writing. Sharing my writing to me is like opening my inner soul to complete strangers. Sounds dramatic I know but that’s how it feels. I have only shown people one of my short stories, a horror involving zombies, unusual for me but I had a dream about them and I had to get it out of my system.

So I'm hoping that if I join an online writers group first I may get enough confidence to open myself for the experience face to face.

I'm late 30's and like writing stories that reflect the real world in fantasy settings. At least that what I hope they come out like. Sometimes they involve modern versions of gods.
