The best thing to do get yourself familiar with creating an item.
If your saving a story in your portfolio, the best item would be a Static Item.
Just click Create Something at the top of the page and read the instructions carefully.
Once the form is filled out, click Save and View.
This way you can be assured it is in your portfolio correctly.
