Hello everyone!

My name is Nicola and my username is CopyWriter, because I am hoping to find ways of writing for profit, (as a business) not merely for pleasure, including writing copy for business websites, writing social media campaigns etc, and offering Proofreading and editing servicves.

For pleasure I write fiction. Usually short vignettes and flash pieces because I find that I have usually said what I want to say in around 1,000 to 2,000 words, and stretching it out feels like unnecessary padding, although one of my aims in joining this site is to begin to write longer pieces.

I harbour a secret wish to write a novel, but I can never seem to find ideas that I feel I could sustain for so many words.

Principally, then, my goals for joining writing.com are:

to encourage me to write more, and more often
to encourage me to stretch myself by writing in different forms and genres
to meet as many people with an interest in writing as possible
to expose my writing to useful, constructive criticism, and get feedback from experienced writers

I genuinely look forward to meeting you all, so, if you see me blundering about like a total newbie, completely lost, please take pity on me, and show me the way! I honestly don't bite, and would love to get to know you.
