Hi, my name is Katelyn Shear, and I'm a writer. I've been writing most of my life, since preschool. I started getting serious about it last year, when I was bored and stuck at home. I write Christian Romance/anything. I love Historical, and that is what my current WIP is. I have had poetry published, though I'm not proud of any of it.
My life turned around when I started writing. I went from having no friends, to have five very best friends who also write and tons of others. I now talk to many published authors, and I don't feel as if I'm being looked down on. I believe God's purpose for me was to write. Someday, I shall work at my BFF's publishing company (Which we are still planning) as an Editor or Marketer, and I will still write books.
I belong to a few writing groups, one of my favorites is Go Teen Writers.

My desire and goal in life is to get kids excited about reading again. I have always been an avid reader. I want other kids to be able to experience the excitement I feel whenever I pick up a book. I want them to pace around the room with a book in their hands when they're at a suspenseful scene. That's my goal.
