This is the voting survey for the "Angry Rant Contest"  where you can vote for your favorite rants to receive deserved gift points. There are guidelines to voting. Don't abuse the guidelines.



         Voting Guidelines

You can vote on any rant, anywhere in the contest forum. Except . . .

Don't vote for yourself. That's just tacky.

Vary your votes. If I find you always voting for the same person, no matter what they post, and never voting for anyone else, it will make me angry.

Restrain yourself. Sometimes, there're a lot of great rants needing votes, sometimes there aren't. If you feel like you're getting soft on 'em, stop. We want the best rants to get votes, not all the ones you liked. Also, if you start spam-voting, you'll be responsible for me taking off the Gift Point Award for filling out the survey.

Vote for one rant at a time. That is, fill out the survey once for every vote you make. (That is, please take 100 GPs for every rant you vote for.) Multiple submissions are, of course, allowed on this item.




         Help with Linking a Rant
                   (How to fill out the first survey field)

This should be easy. If it's not, do your best. It'll make me shake my head and sigh if you do it wrong, but as long as I can figure out what you tried to link, it should be fine.

All right, to link the rant you are voting for, you need to look at the ID # that appears below the title of the post in the "Angry Rant Contest" . It should be a seven-digit number and the whole thing looks something like this:

         --->> ID #1249837 by (username/handle)

All you need is that number. I'm just trying to help you find it. Now, take that number and put it in a Forum Post Link. Using the example above, the WritingML should look like this:

         {Post:1249837}

If you're curious, the result, when I receive it, will look like this:

         "Sample Post..."  

All you have to do is replace "1249837" with the ID # of your favorite rant and you will have linked the post, making my job oh so super easy. Thank you for your vote and I hope you come back again and again as more angry people post worthy rants.
