Unrequited love. Something that alot of us go through. Being in love with somebody who doesn't love you can be a heartbreaking experience.

Glad To Be Unhappy was a song covered by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Billie Holliday and The Mamas and Papas. The song says:

Unrequited love's a bore
And I've got it pretty bad
But for someone you adore
It's a pleasure to be sad

The metal band Slipknot composed the phrase:

"She's everything to me, the unrequited dream, the song that no-one sings, the unattainable..."

Unfortunately, during my life - I have suffered this dilemma a few painful times. I know all my stories, and now I want to know yours too.

I am in the middle of designing a book with a number of characters who are suffering the 'UL symtom'... and I want to know how you felt during your UL phase, why is was unrequited, what made you fall in love with the person in the first place, and how you dealt with it. I also would love to hear if you have been the object of someone else's desires.

I promise that any story you wish to tell me will be between you and I.
I may come back to you at some point to glean a few more details, but I promise that I won't identify you at all in any of my writing.

Thank you for taking this survey!
