Let's Remake a Classic
If they were to remake Smokey and the Bandit, who would you want in it?

On a recent trip to the lake Hubby and I started talking movies. Those of you who know me well know where this is going (Brooke). With all the retro style cars coming out these days *imagines that new sexy car called the Challenger *Delight** I really wanted to see Pontiac jump on that bandwagon. If they were to bring back the Firebird, they would have to go with a 1977 type styling. I mean, when you think Trans AM, isn't the first thing that pops into your head the Bandit?

To jump start sales for the reintroduction why not remake the movie that launched that car into super stardom!? (I'm still working on my pitch letter to GM for this idea. *Bigsmile*) But I want it to be the same, I don't want it all Hollywooded up, I want the Bandit to still drive that car the way a real guy would, gratuitous burn outs and all. But who would be the modern day Bandit? The Snowman? Beuford T. Justice? This is where I need your help!

So here it is. I want to remake that classic. I want to recast Smokey and the Bandit, and I need your help! I will have all the main characters listed and will keep track of responses. I will also put together a poll as I receive responses so everyone can vote for who they think would be the best in that roll. Gary and I already have a rough list. He'd like to see Nicholas Cage as Bandit (I think that's just because of his Gone in 60 Seconds roll, and the mutual car guy thing they have going on.) Snowman we aren't so sure of. We'd love to see Robin Williams as Beuford, he's just great in anything he does, and Gary seems to think that Angelina Jolie can pull off that innocent thing and play Frog. I think it would have to be someone else, she's just got too much sex appeal.

So have fun and let me know who you would like to see in this Classic Remake!

Here are some of the submitted answers!
