In order to apply, you'll need to submit a logline to be developed in the workshop, giving participants both the chance to learn about the plotting process, as well as take away suggestions and critiques specifically for their story.


LOGLINE REQUIREMENTS:

         *Bullet* One or two sentences.

         *Bullet* An overview of the main story.

EXAMPLES:

SHREK: An ogre must rescue a captive princess in order to get his swamp back from an evil lord in need of a royal bride.

E.T.: A young boy discovers an alien stranded on Earth and helps him find his way home.

THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO: After being wrongfully imprisoned for more than a decade, a sailor breaks free and discovers a vast treasure. He uses the treasure to re-integrate himself into society as a wealthy noble in order to exact revenge on the people responsible for his unjust imprisonment.


All submitted loglines will be reviewed and twelve participants will be selected by SoCalScribe . All decisions as to the participants are final.

The deadline to submit this application is Friday, May 27th, 2011 @ 11:59pm WdC time.
