          This group has been created to recognize the skill of the Native American writer, and that of those who write in the spirit of the Native American. Further, this group will attempt to recognize literary merit and generous causes wherever they may be found on this site. Anyone may come to this site and nominate an individual for an awardicon or merit badge. Auctions may be held to raise Gift Points for organizations involved in charitable works within this site.

          A fascinating tidbit has been revealed to me through the research I am doing on my close relative John Crittenten Charles. John and his family disappeared from my native state of Kentucky around the year 1900. It has been a time consuming and difficult adventure to locate John. Now, I know he went to the same land where the great Sioux leader, Sitting Bull took his band of The People. John took up a homestead located at Section 6, Township 4, Range 4, West of the third meridian. This location is in Saskatchewan, Canada, bounded on the northwest by Wood Mountain, bounded in the northeast by Lidgett, and bounded in the south by Vigilant.
