 
Hello there, and welcome to the Unofficial Erotica Newsletter Group!
Because Writing.Com cannot have an official Erotica Newsletter (all official newsletters must be E-rated, and what fun would an E-rated erotica newsletter be?  ), the only way to distribute a newsletter to those interested in such a thing is to create a group and publish it via group e-mail. Thus we humbly present to you the aptly named Unofficial Erotica Newsletter (UEN) Group! And while we strive to create an erotica community with activities other ways to connect with fellow erotica writers, this group's primary focus has always been - and will continue to be - the publication of the newsletter. We welcome members to participate as much or as little as they like; you're more than welcome to join our group for the sole purpose of receiving the newsletter. 
Issues of the UEN consist of a general editorial topic with multiple articles, featured erotica items, and reader feedback... just like a super-sized version official newsletter. The UEN also features a list of active erotica contests and events to keep you up to date on what's happening in the WdC erotica community.
Our goal is to bring awareness to the erotica genre and provide a community where erotica writers can mingle, discuss the craft, and hone their skills.
Please keep in mind that the UEN is published monthly by volunteers who are not paid in any way for their time... so please be gentle.
For easy reference, here is a list of the regular features the UENG has to offer (other special activities may be offered from time to time):
The first issue of the UEN was published the week of April 3, 2006. Every newsletter is archived here, and group members are free to visit at any time. Go ahead and rummage through the stacks, dust off an old volume, and pull up a chair.
A forum where group members can discuss the erotica genre, advertise their own erotica stories and events... or talk about anything else that comes to mind. It's a free space for members to speak and discuss, rant or rave.
An independently run, weekly erotic short story contest, sponsored by the UENG. Can you write a sexy story in 869 words or less? New rounds begin Sunday mornings at midnight WdC time.
A guideline to all the WdC features available to restrict access to your stories, for writers who may not be comfortable including erotica openly in their port.
Review Credits - Did you know that the UENG credits for affiliated reviews ? If you affiliate your review with our group, and use our optional group review signature

100 GP minimum for UENG affiliated reviews
250 GP minimum for UENG affiliated reviews with the UENG review signature.
The UENG staff has the option of awarding higher GP amounts for outstanding reviews, but these are the minimum amounts you will receive if you follow the guidelines. Please note that all reviews must be made public, and must be affiliated with the UENG. The reason there is no option for "review signature only" is because we don't have the resources to monitor the public review list 24/7. By affiliating your review with the UENG, we can go to the group item and click on Affiliated Reviews to find your reviews. If you don't make your reviews public and affiliate them with the group, we won't be able to see them so that we can credit them!
