The NaNoWriMists is a group of people who are crazy enough to want to enter NaNoWriMo, and who have banded together for support and the chance to have a good moan or perhaps to show off a wonderful idea.
For those of you who haven't heard of NaNoWriMo, it stands for National Novel Writing Month, and takes place in November of each year. The main goal is for every participant to write a brand-new 50,000 word novel in the 30 days during November. Check out their website http://www.nanowrimo.org for some more information and to read some interesting and inspiring articles.
If you like the idea of writing 50,000 words in a month but you're just itching to get on with a novel you've already started, don't despair! Head over to "NaNoWriMo Plus"  where you can work on a current novel and aim for the same crazy word counts.
Members of this group can access "The NaNoWriMists Writing Forum" , where they can discuss plot problems, character catastrophes, dialogue disasters and other awfulnesses, as well as incredible successes and boastworthy word counts! They can also enter "The NaNoWriMists Contest" , which will award sporadic prizes for word counts, commitment to the challenge, best novel extract and other such delights.

To join this group, fill out the "Application Form for The NaNoWriMists" . Being a member of The NaNoWriMists is a great way of ensuring you don't experience the dreaded Writer's Block during the all-important month of November!
We will also be needing judges, prize donations, administrators to make sure everything is running smoothly and any other help you'd like to offer! If you want to offer your assistance in any way at all, please let us know and we'll gladly set something up.
