The Angel Army is made up of individuals like you, anyone who is willing to lend a helping hand in promoting positive and active involvement in and around WDC (Writing Dot Com). This website is a large one and averages at least TEN new members A DAY! As many of you know, it can be quite intimidating to step into such a site with so much to offer, so that's where we come in.

As a member of the Angel Army, your goal is to welcome as many newcomers as possible. This includes, visiting several WDC Welcoming Forums to leave well-wishes, dropping off a c-note or two, reviewing their works, offering advise or granting upgrades to deserving members. Angels are also recognized for recruiting more members not just to this group, but to this wonderful site!

But wait! There's MORE!

We will not only cater to newbies, but to our seasoned members as well. Each month, we will feature an author whose portfolio will be raided by our members. We will also grant upgrades to these members if they prove to be dedicated and active members of WDC.

And because we believe that our angels will work hard to prove themselves, we will award gifts in the form of either GPS, Merit Badges, Awardicons and more!

Wouldn't it be nice to receive a message or two on your birthday (not just account birthdays!) from your fellow WDC members? That's where our Birthday Club comes in! When a member is celebrating a birthday, we chip in to do something nice for him or her on that day. It doesn't cost much, and we believe that even a simple c-Note is enough to brighten anyone's day!

It's quite easy to gain recognition in this group, and the first is by proudly displaying your angel wings in your signatures or portfolios so everyone knows you're a member! Please remember that if you're doing anything on behalf of the group, you must have your Angel Army sig attached to it, so it's added to your points.

Points? What's all this talk about points?

Why, it's easy! As an incentive to our members to paricipate actively, we are giving everyone a chance to earn either a Merit Badge or an Awardicon at the end of the month. These gifts will be awarded based on the following:

1. Most Helpful Reviews
2. Most Positive Member(s)
3. Most Recruits to 'The Angel Army'
4. Most Recruits to 'WDC'

How are points accumulated?
1. Each review given (for newbies or seasoned members) counts as ONE point.
2. Participating in the Port Raid earns you TWO points for each review.
3. Recruiting new members to the group earns you THREE points for each member.
4. Recruiting new members to WDC earns you FOUR points for each member.
5. Starting up a fundraiser or donating gps on behalf of our group earns you FOUR points.
6. Donating 10K or more to any charitable group around the site earns you an EXTRA point

In the spirit of community and trust, you must make sure you have proof you've done either or all of these things before posting them in the appropriate forums. Our Angel Leaders will be on the lookout and you might get rewarded for doing a good deed when you least expect it.

Good question!
