Pain

Ever had pain that turned the toes of your feet?
Aching in anguish, without any relief?
Have tears come from your eyes, people wondering why;
Bound a tight fist, and hoped the pain would subside?

Have you cried out to doctors, healing people, why?
Some don’t seem to grasp, you're going to die.
Have you cried out to God, begging for help?
Ever run dry of tears to show your tormented self?

Did you think you’d be stronger because of the pain?
Your might encumbered by tormenting rain?
The cold hand of death, evading sure gain.
The will of God; pains' passage engaged.

See what those around you could not understand;
Pain holds with fervor your mind's sprawling land?
Remember you’ll win, not even pain can withstand.
Your might is you; pain and you have held hands.

Your might is you.

Initially diagnosed with temporal arteritis, over three years ago. Steriods stopped the pain from causing blackouts, but the pain continues and I as a result I had major depression for the past two and a half years. Thank You for this site.

I suffer from chronic pain due to chronic bowel obstructions. I go into the hospital every other week. I just get so depressed. Any suggestion on how to cope with chronic pain would be appreciate. I have written a poem about my chronic pain # is 1718874.

I have degenerative disc disease in my neck...I'm only 37...just about a year ago I was fine...then Wham! There was an accident and here I am now. Pain every day from one extent to the next.

Shea, thanks for sharing. I have Lupus, Fibro, Sleep Apnea, Diabetes and Arthritis just to name a few. I was healthy just 5 years ago.

Hi, Shea. I have joint pain, but since there's no redness or swelling doctors think it's either in my mind or "middle-aged madness." Yet I know Jesus has a new eternal and pain-free body for me after this one finally wears out.

Hi...I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes, bi-polar disorder, chronic depression and anxiety, and sleep apnea. I'm only able to work because my doctor prescribes pain medications.I'm still never completely without pain.

Hello there... I am new to the site and just found this. I also have chronic pain, fibro, rheumatoid arthritis, sleep apnea, diabetes and on and on and on. I have a hard time keeping a good attitude. I am proud of those of you who can. Vicky

It's amazing how many people suffer. I have fibromyalgia, chronic pain, chronic fatigue. Stop by my blog sometime. *Smile* My hubby also has fibro and his own blog. He's Incurable Romantic .

Dear Shea, I know of others who suffer such pain the amputation of toes/half a foot...they are in constant pain but like you they will never give up because they will never walk alone...God bless Shea you are doing a good thing.
