My name is Jessica, woohoo! I know, boring stuff. Well, here are more important things you should know about me.
I am 20 years old, and was born on July 4, 1989. My astrological sign is cancer and follow the definition exactly; I am moody, sensitive, caring and quiet. I'm short (4'11) and I have medium length dark brown hair, but I used to dye it a cinnamon red. I also have brown eyes, which people say is my best feature. I am mostly of Italian heritage, but I am a little Irish. I have really pale skin; I can't be out in the sun long and I prefer not to be out long anyway... sunburn = skin cancer = the devil. I live in the suburbs of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania with my mom, dad, and nanny. I work as a page at the local library; I take my job very seriously and I love my job with every fiber of my being. I graduated from Upper Merion High School in June 2008; where my favorite subjects were German and history. I'm majoring in history at West Chester University (I am also a commuter student).

*Hobbies and strange things about me*
I am obsessed with the Civil War. I love going to Civil War museums and learning more about it. I also love history- I live and breathe it. Other areas in history I'm interested in is World War II, German, Norwegian, Russian and American history. I also speak German, I'm not fluent in it yet... but I plan to be in the next five years. I love that language and I want to be apart of the culture. I am now learning French, Italian and soon Russian will be added to the mix -- I love learning languages. I worked on a zine for my township library and I published a book of poetry called Ramblings of a Rebel (as seen above). My one poem, "The Confederacy's Chancellorsville" won a contest and is featured in an anthology. I probably don't strike you as much of a sports person, I'm not considered one because in fact I will only watch two footballs teams, but I do love my Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger and the San Diego Chargers (Rivers!). I also love listening to music, drawing, scrapbooking and other creative things. I recently started playing guitar; I own an acoustic Fender and an electric Brownsville (I play the electric one the most, that's the easiest to play), and I'm training to become a "guitar heroine."
Whatever, I am having fun playing and I love learning news songs, especially with my wonderful instructor -- Mike Gallagher.

I joined Writing.com on February 24, 2006. I fell instantly in love with the site; I loved the features it offered and the members were great when it comes time for useful criticism. The Writing.com community has to be one of the nicest group of people I've ever met and talked to; they are very respectable, caring, generous and just overall wonderful. This section will offer you a chance to look at my favorite pieces and my favorite authors via this site. I am also posting my works; comments are welcomed and encouraged.
iKïyå§ama
. I met Kiya about a month or so after I joined this site. I commented one of her stories (or she commented one of mine; can't remember exactly) and we started to talk. Kiya is a very talented writer, and her status (and how quickly she moved up) on Writing.com proves that. She is also very kind and generous; I can't also forget fun. Kiya offers many contests from A Picture Is Worth A 1000 Words to Cultural Contests.

. Liz has been my best friend since 5th grade, even though we've had our share of problems. She is like my sister and has been there for me like Barbs, Tim and Kiya. We have way too many inside jokes, but they're hilarious and we've had a lot of fun times together. Liz aspires to be a writer and she has definitely grown in the past few years.

May Festival at Pottsgrove Manor. May 5, 2007.
History is important to me, and I think more people should be more aware of it. I was a member of my school's history club and I actively go to reenactments. I aspire to be a reenactor once I graduate college. I also write, as evident above, many historical pieces to teach people about the significance of history. Here are sites I think that are important.
