Welcome to my home away from home ~ ~ my little nitch in the vast cosmos of WDC, my personal web space. Here you will find something for everyone ~ a Port interactive with Poetry, Songs, Music, Blogs, Stories both fiction and non-fiction, beautiful graphic art, and fun Surveys. A melting pot of things to see, feel, read, delight in, get mad "because of," weep uncontrolably over, chuckle senselessly about, and get involved in ~ for all tastes, ages, and genres. I have been writing since the age of nine years old. My greatest influences have been e.e. cummings, T.S. Eliot, Lord Byron, Edgar Allen Poe, Emily Dickinson, and Moderns like Carl Sandburg, Wordsworth, Frost, Emerson, Walt Whitman, and others. Also, I loved the Beatle John Lennon; he was a tremendous influence over me. I am a published Poet; my first book was entitled "Dreaming White Horses." I am also published in various journals, Anthologies, and the American Poetry Society.

A little bit about myself. Well, I have deep southern roots. I'm originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. But I've lived now in Colorado going on six years. I watched my hometown on TV being destroyed by Katrina ~ it was awful. Just a nightmare . . . I know New Orleans will never be the same as when I left it, and that breaks my heart. I still have friends and acquaintances unaccounted for, and after all this time, I can only surmise that they perished. I haven't been back since, but my husband Howard has an Aunt that still lives in Metairie, a suburb fifteen minutes outside New Orleans. She's 93 years old, lives by herself, and survived this horrible storm ~ alone. An amazing story in and of itself!
I'm a big animal lover ~ I am presently owned by five dogs, two cats and six horses. I raise and breed beautiful Tennessee Walking Horses like the one you see above, Vanilla. My small ranch here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado is called Rainbow Walkers because I specialize in horses of all different colors of the rainbow: snow white like Vanilla, above, and Cremellos (Ivory-white horses with crystal blue eyes); I have a Cremello stud colt named The Flash. Other colors I have in my breeding program are Buckskins, Perlinos, Palominos, of course, rare Smoky Blacks like my Black Stallion, Starz, and spotted painted walking horses (black and white; chestnut and white) and Sabino Maximas, Blue and Mauve Roans. Along the way
