Seekers Of The Unknown   The SOTU group is dedicated to the paranormal/supernatural genres. The scientifically unexplained events that surround peoples every day lives. Ghosts, Demons, Angels, & Miracles A brief overview: Paranormal: is an umbrella term for a variety of anomalous phenomena. The term is used in parapsychology, which deals with psysic reported phenomena like telepathy, extra-sensory perception, psychokinesis, and post-mortem survival studies like reincarnation, ghosts, and hauntings. Supernatural: pertains to entities, events or powers regarded as beyond nature, in that they can not be explained by the laws of the natural world. Religious miracles are typical of such "supernatural" manifestations, as are spells and curses, divination, the notion that there is an afterlife for the dead, and innumerable others.  Miracle: preternatural occurence that is viewed as the expression of a divine will. Its awe and wonder lie in the fact that the cause is hidden. Demon: supernatural being, generally malevolent in character. A spirit, holding a place below the celestial deities of the pagans; an evil spirit; a fiend-like man. Angel: A celestial being, one who manifests goodness, purity, and selflessness. Typically act as a messenger from God. Ghost: the soul of a dead person, a disembodied spirit imagined, usually as a vague shadowy or evanescent form, as wandering among or haunting living persons or places. So, the purpose of this group is to focus solely on these genres. No one needs to be an expert within these genres. All we ask is that you are open minded, eager, and willing to participate in activities and share your thoughts and stories.
