THE MYTHS AND TRUTHS OF NATHAN BEDFORD FORREST


This is a script for my documentary debunking the myths of Nathan Bedford Forrest. It was used for my senior graduation project that I did on the Civil War. It runs about 50 minutes, but I could only show a six minute clip (made DVDs for my classmates to keep so they can see the whole thing). I spent three weeks writing and filming; it is also filmed with the cast wearing modern clothes since I couldn't afford the costumes (we were kept on a budget) and I grabbed people on the spot. Most of the information is from Ashdown and Edward's The Myth of Nathan Bedford Forrest, interviews I have done with a great-great Grandson of Forrest and other various internet sources.
