         Hello! Welcome to my little website here on WDC. My pen name is Nekogal (D&C) here on this wonderful site. If you were wondering (which you probably weren't, hah!), the D&C stands for Depraved & Confused, which was my old pen name.

         Let's see... shall I tell you a little about myself? I guess I ought to, since you took the time to take a look at this page. My real name is Jackie (we'll leave my last name unmentioned!). I am nineteen and I've just recently (May 19th 2008) graduated from high school. Since I was born and raised in Louisiana, I guess you could say I'm a country girl (though, I don't feel much like one). I have a wonderful family, two of which also post their works on Writing.com. My mother, Beignet , has just begun her journey on WDC. The same goes for my sister, Unmei , though, she's been here for a little longer. If any of you have the time, I'd love it if you could take a look at their ports. They are very talented.

+ Where It All Started

         Ever since I was young, I've loved reading. It all started with Anne McCaffrey's The Masterharper of Pern and Dragonflight . I later began reading the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series by Laurell K. Hamilton, who is a seriously talented author (I'll write more about her later!). So many authors have influenced me in my writing, and I couldn't be more happy about it. I feel at home whilst writing, as I'm sure many of you do. Personally, I adore writing and reading poetry, as well as stories, about vampires. I'll harp on some more about that stuff later!

+ Music Video of the Month

         Here's a music video of Paramore, one of my favorite girl singer rock bands. I usually prefer male singers (don't ask why, I have no clue), but I've found that Paramore is an excellent music artist. If you guys decide to check out this video, I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. By the way, there's spanish subs on it, so don't be freaked out when you see 'em. (Not that I thought you would be )
