Hmm... so you want to know more? Well, you're in the right place! I'll be going through my various interests on this page. Hopefully you don't get too bored.
Anime/Manga: This is one of the things that have majorly influenced me. I'm practically addicted to it. Since I first saw Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, I haven't looked back. If you're not certain as to what manga or anime is, I'll give you a quick run through. Manga is a Japanese comic book (or graphic novel). It's just like books, but done in art form. Anime is a Japanese cartoon, and they're usually developed from manga.
Here's a little list of some of my favorites:
Sensual Phrase by Mayu Shinjo
Skip Beat! by Yoshiki Nakamura
Eyeshield 21 by Yusuke Murata and Riichiro Inagaki
Crimson Hero by Takanashi Mitsuba
Gokusen by Morimoto Kozueko
Mars by Fuyumi Soryo
Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori
GTO by Tohru Fujisawa
There's many more that I like, but I can't quite remember them at this moment. If I think of them later, I may add them. However, then this "little" list wouldn't be so little anymore. Oh well.
Video Games: Shall we talk about this next? I think we have to. Video games are the love of my life. When I first played my dads NES I was hooked. I looked up at the screen, saw that little red Mario, and just had to get him through the levels; no matter what it took. I'd spend hours staring at the screen, trying to make the perfect jump, or get past an enemy. Now, as an adult, I've played a variety of games. Currently I own a PS1, PS2, PS3, GameCube, Nintendo DS, Gameboy Color, Wii, and computer (I'm including that just for the fun of it).
Here's a list of game fave's:
Legend of Dragoon
Legend of Legaia (As well as Tactics)
Tales of Destiny (Both 1 & 2)
Threads of Fate
Rhapsody
Star Ocean 3
Suikoden (I think I have 1 or 2 and 5 or 6... too lazy to check.)
Lunar 2: Eternal Blue
And some MMORPG's (Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game) that I've played...
World of Warcraft (Which I'm currently playing)
Final Fantasy XI
Ragnarok Online (The official servers as well as several private)
Flyff
Anarchy Online
Warhammer Online
Many others I can't even remember.
Reading/Writing: This is a big, obvious one. That's why I saved it for last. I already mentioned some of my favorite authors, and since I'm a bit lazy right now, I'm going to leave it for later. Okay. Well, later is now! (In other words, after months of not updating, I will be adding in some stuff now.)
All of Laurell K. Hamilton's books. Warning: Most contain extremely graphic content. However, her books are great for those interested in horror, mystery, fantasy, and the paranormal (and romance for sure!). Usually, the main characters of her books are women. And recently, some of the books have turned into a "harem" of guys. In other words, the main character is surrounded by a bunch of hunks.
Anne McCaffrey's books are fantastic. She has a knack for anything involving dragons, as well as sci-fi. Recently, her son has picked up the popular "Pern" series.
The "Dark Secrets" series by Elizabeth Chandler are fantastic for young adults (and older ones too! ). She also has some other books I'd recommend for anyone to read. Usually, her books touch on the paranormal, romance, and mystery. They are very light reads but it's so easy to get into them. Legacy of Lies is my favorite.
If you're looking for some romance books to read, I'd suggest all of Jude Deveraux's books. She's one of the only romance author's whose books I read more than three or four times. A lot of her stuff is historical romance. By the way, I'd suggest her earlier works, as opposed to recent publications. Her recent stuff isn't nearly as good. Warning: Some of the books contain graphic content.
Another great romance author is Christine Feehan. Christine's works deal with vampires and the paranormal much of the time. Warning: Many of the books contain graphic content. Side note: Some of her books go a little bit too fast, thus, the plot isn't developed enough. However, there are still a good many of her books which are fantastic, so I'd still suggest them.
History lovers, have I got some great series' for you! The Diaries series, in all of their forms, are wonderful reads. They delve into the lives of women throughout history. Here's some links to the amazon pages where you can find them: The Royal Diaries, Dear America Diaries, Dear Canada Series (only one book out that I know of), and lastly the My America Series. All of these are generally for a young audience, however, I find that I've enjoyed them as well. The Royal Diaries are fantastic, and one of my favorite series. The My America Series is aimed at a slightly younger audience than the rest of the ones named.
Sadly, that's all I can remember for now. I'll add more to this page whenever I get the chance. Thanks for reading! I know it was pretty boring.
