The Kitchen

I just wanted to write books I wanted to write. There's no writer who has not had enough ego to hope something he or she wrote would be seized on by the public-that something they write will last beyond them. But hoping and expecting are two different things. Expecting would be beyond ego. ~ Robert Jordan(1948-2007)

My attempt at writing has been a long journey. My books are the culmination of a lot of stuff floating around in my head. I keep all the "stuff" here! Be warned, it's a little cluttered.

The Fall From Grace (DRAFT)  [13+]
Genres: Fantasy - Drama - Action/Adventure
by L. D. Dailey

The Fall From Grace is a labor of love rather than a novel (a cluster of old versions stuck in "The Attic can attest to that). The basic idea for it began in 2001 and I've refined it over the years. One of these days I'll get it finished. Maybe I'll even work up the courage to try to get it published.

Obsessions  [13+]
Genres: Fantasy - Drama - Sci-fi
by L. D. Dailey

Obsessions is the evolution of a story I invented after playing a video game. Yea, I know it sounds corny. I played a game called The Witcher, which delved in alchemy. I wondered how an alchemist would fit as a hero and the thoughts flowed from there.

One Doom for Another  [13+]
Genres: Drama - Fantasy - Action/Adventure
by L. D. Dailey

This idea expanded after I wrote "The Daughter of the Wizard. I like flawed hero's and none of my muses are as flawed as this guy.

This is an expansion of two short stories; "The Fall of an Empire and "A Final Lesson. When I wrote the two stories, the premise was simple; get the idea out of head and onto paper before I lose it. Now that I've been knocked around a bit and know some of the ropes, I want to tell the story as it should be.
