Our name is our aim! I.N.K.E.D. is an acronym for Inspiring Newcomers through Kind and Encouraging Deeds, but it also stands for community spirit. We want to inspire newcomers. Having arrived on this page, we’ll try and give you some idea how we go about doing just that.

First off, are you a member? If you’re not yet a member, but would like to be, take a look at our simple, easy-to-use "Welcome & Sign-Up" . We’d be delighted to welcome you into our group. Alternatively, if you’re not a member, and if you’re undecided about whether ‘we’ are for you, please take a few minutes to look around. Maybe you’ll see something you like.

Take a look! Here, our members are a mix of veterans and novice site members. There is a place for everyone, and we have activities to suit both the experienced and the novice.

We have a range of places for you to visit, and we’d love you to start by popping in and introducing yourself in the "Coffee Lounge" . This is an informal, friendly place where members can say hello, share their news, and chat with each other when time allows. If we have any activities or events pending, we’ll probably e-mail our members, but this is another place we may make announcements.

We have a variety of other activities we encourage our members to participate in. Each of these activities are designed with the sole purpose and aim of welcoming new arrivals through spreading positivity throughout the site. These activities, rewards, and recognition can be found in more detail by visiting: "The V.I.N.E." 

There are also numerous activities and challenges (all of which offer unique rewards) aimed at helping newcomers expand their site knowledge and broaden their horizons. All of these activities are optional, but feel free to take a look at the forum for more information.

Not to worry! You can take anything within the group at your own pace. If you don't feel comfortable helping others, you're not obligated to. You're welcome to continue to ask questions and participate in ways that are best for you!

Writing.Com, or WDC, is a site that works because of the incredible community spirit that is already in place. Here at I.N.K.E.D. we just want to share that good spirit around a little more, and try to make sure our newest members realize just how great a place this site is.

As part of recognizing our members contribution to all that wonderful positivity, we reward participation within the group. Rewards might take the shape of Gift Points, Merit Badges, and a whole host of other delights. Our main activities can be found through "The V.I.N.E."  as they crop up.
