Sometime before Christmas

You remember the poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clemete Moore? Well, with apologies to Mr. Moore, we plan to create a new poem in that style. Therefore, anyone who wishes, may contribute one line at a time. You may contribute as many as you wish, but only one line per post. The rhyming pattern should be, A,A,B,B,C,C,D,D, etc.

Here is the style:

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their bed,
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads,

THE RULES

1. Contribute only one line of poetry per post.
2. Follow the basic style of the classic poem "Twas the Night Before Christmas" by Clemete Moore.
3. You may post as many times as you wish.
4. The rhyming pattern should be: A,A,B,B,C,C,D,D, etc.
5. For now, that is the rules, however new rules may be posted as needed.

We plan to extract some of the posts and create a static item using the posts. Hopefully, we will be able to create the longest Christmas Poem in the world (or at least on Stories.Com.)

As always in my In & Outs...
We want you to enjoy the experience!!
